<b>Location.</b> The Silken Gran Havana hotel in Barcelona, Spain, is five blocks from the shopping on the Paseo de Gracia and the historic Gothic Quarter, built upon medieval Roman ruins. Less than two kilometers from the hotel are Barcelona landmarks including the Picasso Museum, Santa Maria del mar Cathedral and La Barceloneta beach. Barcelona International Airport is approximately 20 kilometers away.
<b>Hotel Features.</b> The interior atrium of the Silken Gran Havana extends six stories from the ground-floor to the glass roof. Amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and concierge services from the multilingual staff.
Grand Place restaurant serves breakfast buffets, Mediterranean-style lunches and dinners. Open from morning to late evening, the piano bar La Cupola serves drinks and bar food. Wireless Internet access is available. The hotel has large rooms for meetings, banquets, conventions, and social events.
<b>Guestrooms.</b> The 145 guestrooms in the Silken Gran Havana are decorated with pecan-colored wooden furniture and marble-topped tables. The headboards are cloth- covered with striped bedcovers. All of the guestrooms are provided with freshly cut flowers. The guestrooms all have private bathrooms. High-speed Internet access is available.
<b>Expert Tip.</b> The giant Gothic Barcelona Cathedral, in the Gothic Quarter, is five blocks from the hotel. Around the Cathedral there are examples of Gothic architecture and Roman walls. The cathedral boasts a unique cloister with beautiful flowers, trees, fountains, and the 13 white geese, said to represent the purity of one of the earliest martyrs. In front of the Cathedral is a small square with street performers, cafes and interesting shops. The cathedral roof tour opens at 10 a.m. and much of the Quarter, and most of Barcelona, can be viewed from the cathedral roof.
<b>Please note: </b>From 3rd November 2008 until 29th February 2009 the hot el parking will be closed for refurbishment. During this time Parking Saba ( located on Calle Diputación) will be available for customers of the Silken G ran Havana for the price of €2.65 per hour.
